Tales of a Toddler - Take 2

Reagan, oh, Reagan. Though some of these could earn us a Bad Parent of the Year Award.

1. We found Reagan eating out of the dog bowls. As in, she was on all fours with her head down in the bowls just eating away with the dogs. She was quite mad when we pulled her up.

2. Dad gave Abby gas drops and said that he turned his back for 2 seconds and Reagan grabbed the bottle off the counter and drank it. Luckily it was a small bottle. No worries, she is ok.

3. She seems to have had a word explosion lately. It may not be constant but she will point and things and interact with shows on tv. She loves to tell Dad to put his "hat" on. She points out any "ball" that she sees. She also points out "bubbles" all the time. When Dora is on she says "backpack" and her favorite "there it is". When watching Go Go Go (Go Diego Go) she will say "click" so that the camera will take a picture. Today she said "thank you" on her own without prompting and said "please" every time she was asked.

4. Reagan found a pen and decided to write all over her arms.

5. Monkey see monkey do so watch out what you do in front of her. She copies anyone and everyone in whatever they are doing.

6. She accuses everyone of "poop". She will say ,"Ew, you poop?" She has even gone as far to check the back of my pants like I do to her! (See #5)

7. She sings and dances all the time. She loves to watch American Idol and Dancing with the Stars. We were watching Bring it On the other night and she wanted me to pick her up like a cheerleader. She will clap after performances that she likes and will sing along with some of the ballads.

8. She loves being a mommy to her babies. We call her Sextomom as she tries carrying 6 babies around and will sometimes line them all up on the couch. She feeds them and pats them on the back. They apparently also "poop". She is now trying to swaddle them as well. They all get a turn in a bouncy seat and the swing if Abby isn't using them.

9. She is a very loving child, to anyone. When someone comes in our door she will run up and give them a hug/kiss. She did this to our Dr at Abby's last appt. and she hasn't seen her in 5 months! She doesn't know a stranger which is a little scary but nice not to have the shy kid who hides behind our legs.

10. It's been said before but regardless of #9 she is such a loving sister. She talks, sings, pats, kisses, hugs and just loves on her Abby. When Abby cries she will attempt to put a pacifier in her mouth and will pat her and say, "Ok? Ok?"or recently "Ok bebe?". We're still working on saying Abby but it is certainly close to baby which we have just started to recently use.

2 months old!

Yep we've made it another month and 2 months means a trip to the pediatrician today. Abby's stats:

7lbs 15ozs (SO close to 8!)
20.5 inches

This puts Abby in the 3 percentile range. Dr. Nguyen was just glad that she made it onto the chart! So we have quite the petite little girl on our hands.

And a few pics of the girls together:

Hoppy Easter!

What a day! Due to the weather we decided not to color eggs on Saturday for an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday morning. We had planned to make it to a 9am service at church but lo and behold the girls (and us!) slept til almost 8am. There was no way for us to make it and for Reagan to get in a nap before leaving to see family so we unfortunately had to skip out this year. We spent the morning with our Easter Baskets:

L - Reagan's basket
R - Opening basket

L - Abby's basket
R - Abby with her teddy bear

Unfortunately Abby had a bit of an accident in her Easter outfit before we got a picture but here is one of Reagan in her Easter dress and another of Abby from the morning:

Easter Egg Hunt

First I want to apologize as I didn't realize there was a smudge on my lens. I still thought I'd post so enjoy what you can actually make out. Our neighborhood has an Easter Egg Hunt each year for the kiddos broken up by age. Reagan wasn't quite sure what to do at first but figured it out pretty quickly. After it was over she got to meet the Easter Bunny (no tears) and then we headed over to the park to enjoy our juice box and play a little bit. Notice in some of the pictures that while walking to the Easter Egg Hunt Reagan's knee got into it with the sidewalk a bit. Next year it will be fun to watch both girls running around with baskets and Abby won't just have to watch from Mom's arms.

A package arrives

We got a package from Grandma.............

No Abby wasn't shipped to us. I know what you are all thinking but I did not purposely put her in the box to take a picture. I put her in there really quickly so I could so something in the kitchen and then thought she looked cute.

Reagan still working to learn how to unwrap presents.

"Shooooos!!" Such a girly girl.

"Pretty!" She got different things for her hair and immediately started to try and use them. If she will leave the headbands in her hair Dad is going to be a very happy camper.

Thank you Grandma!
