Rodeo Time 2012

While we were not able to go to the Rodeo this year it sure was fun to dress up for school!

Rhythm & Blues 5K

In January I decided to sign up for the Rhythm & Blues 5K with a few friends which was at the end of February. It was a new race in Houston that was supposed to be set up with live bands along the course. Supposed to. So we bundled up and headed downtown. It was a very cold morning and unfortunately since the sun didn't really want to come out it was colder then predicted.

Our kiddos:

Look how fast I am (HAHA):

Seriously, I don't remember my time but I think it was around 34:30. Thanks to Jess for pushing me to the finish. One of these days I will figure out how not to get these cramps and be able to run the whole thing! Admittedly having a beer at 8am doesn't seem so wrong in this setting:

Spoiled Rotten

Abby waited anxiously for Dad to get home from his bike ride the Sunday after her birthday party so she could open the presents that I had set up for her and she looked at longingly all morning.

She was completely spoiled rotten with toys, clothes, movies, books, etc. and is now even a member of the Astros Buddies Club.

Happy 3rd Birthday Abby!

We started the day with a celebratory breakfast of donuts:

After that all of the girls went to get hair cuts before Abby's party started at Cypress Academy of Gymnastics. It was a bit dark at a distance to get pictures unfortunately so I will be better prepared next time with the big flash.

Abby was not a fan of everyone singing to her and shut down a bit.

Lily had to help her blow out her candles.

I tried to snap pics of the kids while they were sitting still eating though it doesn't exactly make for the best pics.

Lily, Lauren, Emma Kate

Avery, Cooper, Joseph

Isabelle, Jacob, Sarah

 Joe, Olivia

These are the 3 Muskateers. All I hear all day from Abby is about Emma Kate & Lily.
They are in school together and are SO cute.

We let Abby open just a few gifts that night that she's had to stare at for a bit in the house. Then it was off to bed!

Happy Birthday Sassafrass!
