Trike Day 2 & 3

Yep, we are still in love with the trike. Since it is still in the living room Reagan likes to sit on it all the time.

She is also in love with this little music playing turtle from Uncle Craig.

Merry Christmas!

It has been quite eventful. Last night we went to church and out for dinner. Everyone likes a little Christmas sushi right? Then we came home and read the Night Before Christmas and Reagan went to bed while Dad, er Santa, started to get to work.

Everything was set and ready the next morning before Reagan came downstairs.

And as soon as Reagan came downstairs she took a look at the tree and said, 'Oh, wow" and ran right to her trike and climbed on! For a little while we were not sure if she would get off to open any other presents but she quickly became intrigued with her stocking and then we attempted to open a few things. She was quick to have us unwrap things so that she could play with them and soon found that she loves pushing around dolls in her new stroller, plus she can torment the dogs with it!

Later in the afternoon we headed out and about to see family and to go through another round of opening presents. Reagan was less intrigued this round and just wanted to run around with the dogs. We were able to get a couple of shots of her opening a few gifts and donning her new tutu.

We hope that everyone has had a wonderful Christmas. We love (and miss!) you all.

Where did the baby go?

Seriously. We(uh, mom) have been waiting til we can put Reagan's hair into a ponytail. Well it looked to be close to we bought little ponytail holders and tried it out yesterday. The result was adorable and disturbing at the same time.

It was like a transformation took place and she suddenly lost the last of the baby look that she had. Yep, she's a toddler now, a certified big girl, and all because of a ponytail.

Good Dental Hygiene Here

So Reagan has discovered how much she loves to brush her teeth. Really. She would brush her teeth all day long if we let her. Anytime we open the bath room door she runs in and jumps on her stool and reaches for the toothbrush and the water.

Our Spotted Child

Makes me think of a children's book for some reason. Yes, Reagan has spots.

We have no idea what they are and they just appeared on Sunday and are all over! The good news is that she doesn't have any other symptoms. I don't think she even knows that they are there. Since there are no other symptoms the nurse I spoke to is not too worried about it and there is no reason for us to come in right now. And since she doesn't have any other symptoms whatever it may be should not effect her sister.

As you can see this didn't stop her from climbing onto the dishwasher door this morning when mom left the room.

Growing Up

A long weekend can make you realize so many things. We ventured out to the mall on Saturday morning and it was dead. We were relieved. We needed to run an errand, go and register at the hospital next door (gulp) and take Reagan to see Santa. Reagan loved Santa and I knew with age we could end up with tears this year. The problem was the little elf girl who wanted us to run up and drop Reagan off on Santa's lap really quick without her seeing him and then run off so she can take the picture. I know my child a little better then that but ok. So she cried. I then went up and sat next to her and turned her around so she could see him and talk to him. After that she was better and we got a somewhat ok pic. It was better then the crying pic we had at first though I almost bought that one instead.

Reagan loves to dance, a lot. She is in love with a show on Noggin called Lazytown. Nothing else can go on during Lazytown. She is like a zombie, that is until the music comes on. Dad made the mistake of trying to change her diaper in the middle of Lazytown. He would have been fine but then the ending song came on that she loves and she escaped a but to do a little naked dance:

We got our tree up on Saturday as well and it has been a world of "No" and "Don't pull that off" but she sure does love it.

We've decided that we hate IKEA. They have strung us about now for 3 months on the bed that we were trying to buy for Reagan. We are constantly told to check back in 2 weeks. Finally this past weekend we were told that they are not in line for the bed to come in stock for another month or two. Finally, a straight answer. We need to return a few things that went with the actual bed but we have found and ordered another bed that should hopefully be here in the next couple of weeks. So hopefully we can actually get moving on this soon!

Other then that we are working on new words and body parts. She can say nose and knows where it is. We're working on eye right now though it involves getting poked. She has known where her belly button is for some time and knows tummy. She is pretty stuck on the word "no". The best so far was to ask if there was a baby in Mommy's tummy and she said "no" and then proceeded to lift up her shirt and show off her tummy. Guess she may think that everyone has a baby in the tummy. So while she has been slow with the words it is starting to pick up now. She is definitely not a baby anymore.
