Random other catch ups!

Well that's all she wrote. Let's see how I do from here on out but I certainly won't make any promises. Here are some other goodies I have off my phone.

Reagan has perfected her back bend at gymnastics.

 Go Texans!

 Finding Nemo 3D

 Go Coogs!

During the World Series - The girls jump up for the Star Spangled Banner every time they hear it.

 Tooty-Ta

 Pajama Day at School

Reagan's turkey project for school - Princess Aurora

 Disney on Ice

Another of Reagan's projects. This one melts my heart.

Reagan wanted me to take her pic at the Drs office to send to Dad.

A sweet moment they didn't know I caught.

Abby's cornucopia from school. Such a cute word to hear her say!

Our tree.

Happy Thanksgiving - sort of

This Thanksgiving is definitely one we will not soon forget.

First 2 weeks before Thanksgiving Reagan was diagnosed with a really bad case of strep w/ Scarlet Fever. Yep, thought that was dead didn't you? We certainly did. She felt quite terrible and missed an entire week of school. It took all 5 days to get her fever to go away and the rash took about a week. She was so happy to go back to school those 2 days before Thanksgiving.

This year for Thanksgiving we stayed home and spent it with just the 4 of us. It was really nice and we were excited that we actually got to cook our own meal of whatever we wanted, hang out all together and be lazy while watching the Texans game. Well Reagan woke up and we noticed her rash was back. She didn't have any other symptoms so we figured we would just re-evaluate the next day.

 Poor punkin!

The girls got to do the wishbone!

Reagan won however had a slight advantage of Dad helping.

The next morning poor Reagan was worse. Not only was she suddenly covered from head to toe and itchy but her face was swollen.

An oatmeal bath helped the itching a bit.

We decided to make a Drs appt which was a bit tough as our office was closed for the holiday but luckily they have an after hours clinic who got us in.

Still in good spirits.

Before we even saw the Dr. another parent and the nurse quickly picked up on what was going on. Turns out Reagan is allergic to penicillin just like her Dad. This didn't cross our minds because she was on Day 9 of her antibiotic but apparently that's possible. It's good to know and was a relief that she was actually sick again. We got a prescription for a steroid and also one for a medicine that would help with the itching but would hopefully not knock her out like Benadryl. Her poor skin took 2 weeks to clear up. Other then being itchy she was a really good kid about the whole thing. With all the warnings about how the steroid may effect her we were prepared. For Reagan it makes her hyper and a bit snappy but was well worth clearing things up.

Zoo Lights

The Zoo did a new thing this year called Zoo Lights so we went to check it out on member preview night. It was............interesting. The light displays were very nicely done however since all of the animals were sleeping the kids were pretty confused. And it was SO crowded. But the kids had fun but mostly because we were there with friends.

The girls favorite part was definitely the car that was decorated and lights that danced to music.

Oilman Triathlon

This year Dad chose to do a 1/2 Ironman distance triathlon in Conroe. It was at a family resort so we decided to stay there. It would be a really fun place to stay in the summer when you can take full advantage of their water parks! My kids are suckers for hotels. They think that is one of the most exciting things to do. They even asked me to take pictures in the lobby:

The next morning we headed down to see them off.

 All suited up!

See that small green speck of a hat? It's the best I could do out of the water.

Jason saying hi to his parents.

Girls were quite occupied by their kindles while waiting for Dad.

 Bike!

We were in the right place at the right time and look who we saw!

 Jason still smiling!

 Ever the cheerleader.

 All done!

After race snacks are the girls favorites.

He did a great job even though I'm sure he wouldn't 100% agree. he came in a little over his goal time but also had a flat and twisted his knee halfway through his run. One of his friends was out taking pictures and got some great shots:

Happy Halloween!

Ready to Trick or Treat with Merida, Cinderella, a Ballerina & Thor!

Halloween at Gymnastics

The girls got to dress up for their gymnastics lessons and they did all sorts of silly stuff in class that day.

Class was a bit tough in those dresses!

Jack o Lanterns

As soon as October hit the girls kept asking to make jack o lanterns. Luckily Abby gets to visit the pumpkin patch at school and brought home 2 pumpkins. The kids picked out their faces and Dad got to work but not without a little help.

 Gross!

Abby refused to help clean out the pumpkin but was happy to watch.

Halloween Parade 2012

I love watching all the kiddos all dressed up at pre school.

 Abby & Lily

Lily & Emma Kate - Abby's BFF's.
They were never close enough in the parade for me to get one all together.
