Reagan Time

I'm sure I'll regret it tomorrow but today I looked at Reagan and thought what a fun age this is. She is learning new things every day. Here are a few new things that she has been up to:

**We think we may have a little soccer player on our hands. She really really loves kicking balls, no matter what the size. And she cheers herself on when she gets a really good kick.

**She's learned to say she's sorry. Early this week she hit me in the face accidentally and when I said "Ow" she grabbed my face with her little hands and looked right in my eyes and said "I'm sorry Mommy". This has all be unprompted.

**She often busts out with "Yee Haw". We did not teach her this.

**She's into making animal noises. She was running laps around Abby in the living room and each lap she would make the animal noise of whatever we would call out: dog, cat, bird, lion, dinosaur, horse, duck (her fav), sheep. etc.

**She has started calling Dad "Dap". We have no idea where this came from. Unfortunately for Dad I think it's hilarious and laugh which eggs her on. I think it's sweet she has made up her own name for her Dad.

**She needs to know what everything is called. From pointing to physically bringing things to us. She is so eager to learn.

**She is learning names. Granted most of the names are the likes of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Dora, etc. but she definitely knows the name of her best little girl friend Sarah. She in fact has called her "My Sarah".

**We bought a potty and we talk about it all the time. Right now it's sitting in the living room and she will sit on it(clothed) or make her dolls sit on it. We're just getting used to it. She's been doing the whole running away and hiding when it's time to do her business so she is obviously becoming aware of what is going on. She is still more then happy to hang out in a dirty diaper though. We're not going to push the issue so we'll see.

5 Months Old

"Wait. I have to be in the picture. I'll read to you sister. This says that you are 5 months old. Hooray!"

Sweet sweet sister. Reagan grabbed for Abby's hand and held it for a little while all on her own.

4th of July

Since we didn't get a day off from work (boo!) for the 4th this year we really tried to fit a lot in. We decided we would start out at the Zoo in the morning for a couple of hours.

We stopped before we left and Reagan ate lunch. We thought/assumed that she would fall asleep in the car on the way home, which she did, and then we could move her upstairs to her bed where she could sleep for another couple of hours before we had to head back out. That's what normally happens. Of course not today. We took Reagan upstairs and she stayed in her room for the next 1.5 hours but played the whole time. We finally brought her downstairs to lay on the couch and watch a movie. We then crossed our fingers and left to go over to spending the rest of the day with the family.

Reagan was not at all scared of the water this time. Quite the opposite actually. She was jumping in to Dad and would let go of him and be on her own with her little swimming vest. She would throw a ball and then try to get it on her own. She was pretty entertaining. Mom and Abby just watched from the sidelines. We may a little fishy in Reagan yet!

And just because she's so darn cute and there always seems to be fewer pictures of her here is a picture of Abby from this week. While she has been more of a hands on kiddo then Reagan ever was she is happy and smiling almost all of the time. This week she has started this high pitched scream. It is pretty ear piercing but it's a happy noise from her so we'll take it. For the most part she is a much better sleeper then Reagan was at night but when it comes to naps she is not a fan. We're working on learning to sit though it's a ways off. She's grabbing for things and when left on her back seems to be able to make her way around a room! She is still swimming in 0-3 month clothes. She's our tiny one!
