A Week of Girls

Last week Dad went out of town for almost the whole week leaving the girls to fend for themselves. We managed to survive and have a little fun. We went shopping one day, had a play date one day and saw Granny another. Reagan has learned a few more words (flower, bubble. etc) and Abby has started cooing. This was Mom's last week at home and will be back to work on Monday.

It just wouldn't be right for little Texan Girls not to have pictures in the Bluebonnets right? Reagan had a ball and especially loved running on the gravel road and Abigail enjoyed a nap in the flowers.

Sip N See

We have amazing friends. Crissy, Harmony, & Viula were gracious enough to host a Sip N See for us in honor of Miss Abby on Saturday.

It is rare but happens occasionally:

She likes the swing and it is one of the only places other then someone's arms that she will sometimes hang out on her own when awake.

She looks pretty tiny in this 0-3 month outfit. That means it's time to do laundry to get back to the nb clothes.

The Good, The Bad, The Retro

We got a call on Monday that we would indeed have to go for another weight check for Abby this week. We went on Wednesday and she had gained another 2oz which puts her back up to her birth weight but not enough to stop these weight checks! We do get to go in another 2 weeks instead of the usual week so we are guessing that is a good sign. So that is a bit good and bad.

A Little Bad:

Reagan has discovered getting in and out of things like her toy box in her room and the toy box in the living room.


She likes to get in there and take everything out.

A Bit Retro:

Reagan has discovered Dancing with the Stars and loves to spin and dance along.

Play Date

We had a play date on Tuesday that was much needed for several reasons:

1. It got us out of the house.
2. Reagan needed some play time with someone her age.
3. Mom needed some mommy time with someone her age.

Here are some pictures of Reagan and her friend Sarah having a ball. Abby was awake when we got there long enough to meet Sarah and Crissy before crashing throughout the rest of the play date. And poor Jacob slept through all of the picture taking and woke up just as we were leaving!
