Reagan's 1st Soccer Game

Se was SO excited and really did a good job. I think Reagan likes to be on a team and is a bit of a people pleaser. Reagan's team is called Salt Lake and is mostly made up of girls. While everyone was showing up and getting their jersey's the kids just played with their parents with the balls on the field. Then practice started. Reagan did very well at following the directions. About 20 minutes after they practiced they played a game! Reagan got to start and played the first 2 quarters. During her playtime she was congratulated by one of the coaches for a good block! She got quite upset when she was not allowed to play the 3rd quarter. She actually ran onto the field and they had to stop the game. So we learned the things that we need to work on with her:

1. Explain to her that she doesn't get to play the whole game.
2. Help her understand that when someone takes the ball away from her it is ok and not to stand and yell "Hey" and pout on the field.
3. Make sure she knows where her goal is. She almost kicked one into the wrong goal. Luckily when another kid almost did it the coaches blew the whistle and stopped it from happening.

I was amazed by the number of kids that would not play or get involved without their parents being right there. many kids threw a fit and didn't want to play, some were sitting on the sidelines sucking their thumbs and one girl even hid under a blanket! And now what you really want, pictures:

Go Coogs Co

One of the cutest little Coog fans I know. (Yes, this is the dress she wore last year. I think it makes a cuter top for this year)

Labor Day 2010

We spent Labor Day (or the day before) with the family with a little fun in the pool. Reagan was more the happy to tale a nap so we could go over to Aunt Kaffey and Uncle Robert's house and to see Granny.

First they colored:

And then it was time to hit the pool:

Give this girl a noodle and she can get herself anywhere in the pool:

Abby was not a huge fan of the pool this time around:

After we got out of the pool we had dinner and then the girls had ice cream!

A Cake? Of Diapers?

Reagan was genuinely confused by the idea. She wasn't sure that anyone wanted to eat diapers. But the idea that she got to help, she was in. The idea that we were making this for "my Matthew" and she was in love with the idea. Anything for "my Matthew." We were sad to miss Aunt Sarah's shower but were happy to be able to contribute to it. Reagan was very proud and was sad(and confused) that we couldn't take it ourselves.

More Sisterly Love

I know it may not last but these two girls right now really love and like each other so we are enjoying it while we can!

First Day of School 2010

We were all SO excited for the first day of school. They woke up raring to go:

Unfortunately while I factored in time to take pictures outside I didn't factor in time for the camera to be fogged up going outside so a lot of the pics are foggy : (

They both had a fantastic day at school!

Tri Daddy, Tri

He tried and accomplished! Earlier this year Scott decided he wanted to sign up for a triathalon and trained his little heart out. He was even able to get a friend, Jason, to join him from Ft. Worth. So the good little wives that Jess and I are had shirts made for the kids:

The Friday before the tri we headed down to Clear Lake to stay the night at a hotel so we were close. I can tell my kids haven't stayed in too many hotels they way they ran around. And if I had a nickel for everytime they picked up the phone and said hello, to no one, well..........

The next morning Scott got up bright, er, dark and early and rode his bike over to the race. I got up with the girls later and met Jess along with the Love family downstairs and we decided to walk over to find the guys. There were a lot of people there:

Luckily we found our guys:

Jason was in the heat that left before Scott's:

And then it was Scott's turn. He wasn't as kind to wave or acknowledge us as he was in a zone so you'll have to find him like Waldo:

And next we wandered slowly over to the transition area where we could see them move from the water to their bikes. But first an adorable Cooper break:

And njow back to the boys coming out of the water:

After the guys transitioned to the bikes we had a little bit of time and guess what was nearby..........a playground!

Thanks to the pro's taking pics we have some pics on the actual bike that I wasn't able to take:

And then it was time to move back over to the transition area to watch the guys come back in and take off for their run:

And Reagan of course made a friend and was feeding him:

Pictures of Scott out on his run from the photogs:

We moved to the finish line and waited as patiently as possible:

Reagan sure knows how to get her way. She hadn't met Todd for a minute before she got him to put her up on his shoulders:

And at last we saw him coming to the finish line:

He finished just under 1:30:00 which was his goal!

And then it was Jason's turn:

Two new triathletes:

And then Joe and Reagan had their own race:

We headed back to the hotel to get our gear and let the guys shower and then headed out to brunch. Seems there was a little mischeif in the lobby:

After brunch we headed out to what I was told was a boat but I beg to differ:

And let the relaxation begin. We hung out and the kids and triathletes took naps while the rest of us enjoyed some fun in the sun:

And later that night we had a party at the pier:
