Instead of posting what I'm sure would look like the same photos over and over again each week I thought I could just post most of them together for a quick recap. Soccer has been over for 2 weeks and Reagan still asks to go play though as the season went out she seemed less interested in it. It was a fun experience. If she chooses to play again next year then we will but we may try out some other things for now. I'm sure Abby will be happy to cheer along the sidelines for each game as she did this year.

Halloween 2010
We had our 3rd Annual Trick Or Treating shenanigans with the Stanards again this year and were joined by the Loves. We've kept tradition going by going over to the Stanards and having pizza before getting the kids dressed and heading out. It works so why mess with it? We got the kids dressed and loaded them up along with our their drinks and headed out.
I admitedly did not take a ton of pictures. It was dark, I was chasing two kids, I was making a mess of myself, etc. Oh what the hell, we were just having too much fun ourselves. I think this picture pretty well sums it up:

Fall Festival Parade
At School the girls get to have a Fall Festival. Each class takes turns in participating and they get to go out to the pumpkin patch and have their picture taken and pick out a pumpkin to take home. They also get to sit outside and listen to a story while eating a special treat, a Popsicle! About 15 minutes before the end of school the kids get into their Halloween Costumes and walk in a parade for the parents. There are usually musical instruments like maracas involved as well. They were pretty stinkin cute!
Don't mind Abby's pacifier. This parade cut into her nap time and she was not too thrilled.
An Active Kind of Day
On Sunday October 24, Dad participated in his 3rd and last triathlon of 2010 at the Katy Triathlon at Firethorne. The good news was that it was close! The girls and I got up pretty early and headed out to Katy to first pick up Granny and then drive out to the triathlon. Apparently they feel that the athletes and participants needed to get in a warm up as we had to park and then walk about a mile from the start. Luckily they were running a little behind and we were able to see Dad for a minute before he took off. The girls and I headed down to the water edge to watch Dad take off, with a breakfast of Cheerios in hand of course:
We were able to see him get into the water and take off and we got to see him run right past us to the transition (he's wearing a gray shirt if you couldn't figure it out):
And then it was off to the bike(and a little playing while we waited):
And then in he came and we waited for him to transition to his run. He ran right past us and the girls were yelling for him and they even got a little wave much to their delight:
And then we moved over to the finish line because we knew the run wouldn't take him too long :
He did a great job!
We went and had breakfast and then went home to rest a bit. Later that afternoon we all got back into the car and headed out to the Light the Night Walk in The Woodlands. I'm always up for any type of walk/run for charity but this one held a very special place in the heart of my dear friend Crissy so it has a special place in my heart as well. There were all kinds of attractions for the kiddos including people dressed up as various things, on stilts, Junction Jack, etc. And there was music and they got awesome balloons taht were lit when it got dark and we all walked about 2 miles. It was really amazing.
