Happy Halloween!

Reagan will be trick or treating tonight with her friend Sarah and Sarah's little brother Jacob. We can't wait to see the kiddos in their costumes and will be sure to update with pictures hopefully later this weekend. For now here are some pictures of our pumpkin carving.

Before - our pretty pumpkin from the patch. Dad did a good job picking one.

Apparently Mom said Ew too many times while cleaning it out so Reagan started saying Ew too. She would only touch and carry around the top after the strings and slime were cut off.

Our end product - SCARY! Yep, we went outside when it got dark to light it up and turned off the light and Reagan took one look at it and screamed and cried. That means we did a good job right?

Cuteness in Carter's

So we were in Carter's getting new jammies for the cold weather (Thank you great-grandma!) and Reagan decided to run around the store a bit. They have toys and things set up all over for the little ones. She ran into a little boy named William who turned out to be the same age. They looked at each other and ran right up to each other and kissed! I about died. So I stand there with his mother and we talk about kids ages and what not and then as the kids are checking each other out I asked Reagan if she could give him a hug which she promptly did. Then she couldn't stop following/chasing him around the store until it was time to leave. Unfortunately dad missed the whole show as he was paying. Wow, what we have to look forward to huh?

A New Day

We woke up this morning and it was cold! I mean actually cold. While I promise we are not white trash Reagan typically runs around the house in just a diaper all day long and never puts on any clothes. Today she has on a long sleeved shirt, pants and even socks! Also made me realize that I need to get this kid a few more things to wear.

And today, lo and behold, I think I see the white little nubbins of these evil teeth coming through. Still had to fight her to take a nap at finally 2:30pm but it's a step closer, right?

Every week is a new world

No really it is. It's been quite a week. Reagan is now getting into everything. If you think something is out of her reach it needs to be pushed back another couple of feet! Examples from just this week:

1. She was able to reach and break a votive candle holder. She was very upset about this.
2. She very quietly took out 2 boxes of baking chocolate from the pantry and unwrapped them and displayed them on the floor. I can see where she tried to lick or take a bite. I'm sure she was not too happy about that choice as it was bittersweet chocolate.
3. She decided to try and get her own water from the fridge. With her cup she can reach the spout and she and the floor were covered in water. Time to use the lock on that!

We obviously underestimate the level of her sneakiness!

We are also having the pleasure of cutting her canine teeth. Everyone is 100% correct that this is worse them molars. The top 2 are halfway in and it looks like we are about to go through round 2 with the bottom. The good news is that after this we just have her 2 year molars to look forward to.

In the midst of the pain and curiosity of this week we did have a little fun. Reagan discovered the sprinkler and how much fun she could have. We couldn't really capture it on film but she likes to stand in front of it and catch the water in her mouth!

What a Weekend

We had a busy weekend again. On Saturday Reagan and Mom went to meet up with a bunch of ladies and some babies as well at a Food Get Together. It was fun to taste different foods that everyone had brought and to talk. Reagan had a ball playing with friends and meeting some new kiddos. It was also good to give Dad a break to study and work on his project. When we got home we played outside. Reagan discovered that she likes to play with the hose. She also helped dad in the yard and pulled weeds from between the slates in the deck.

On Sunday we woke up and went to the pumpkin patch. Reagan loved running around to look at everything. In fact, she really wasn't too interested in sitting for pictures but we managed to get a few. Now we just have to carve the big pumpkin that we got!

And a picture

Something a little more recent of Reagan from last week.

We had a few cans of Spaghetti-O's from our hurricane Ike stash. Well apparently Dad decided to try them out for lunch today. It was a treat for Mom to receive an email in the middle of the day at work with this picture! While not the best of foods at least our more often then not picky eater was eating.

Starting Over

Alright, I tried to start this around this same time last year and failed. I keep up with the blogs of friends and others all the time so I am determined to make this work this time around. Besides, who wouldn't mind a little Reagan cuteness here and there. Plus this may be easier then sending out the monthly emails of pictures and might help me to keep more on track of things lately.

So where we are at right now.................

Reagan is quite the independent child. One day she likes hot dogs and the next she doesn't. Forget putting a vegetable near the child. She likes to tickle us, the dogs, furniture, anything. She likes to say "ticka ticka ticka" while she does it. This week she really is into saying Bye. She will say it and wave and then blow kisses. It's like it just clicked this week what it really means. She walked out of our office and said bye to our co-workers and blew them kisses yesterday. She also has quite the temper. If she doesn't get her way she will let you know. She is also a very loving child and will hand out hugs and kisses all day long. She will have a few new changes soon. We are going to look at Mothers Day Out programs to start soon. We are also going to start the transition to a toddler bed. We found a pretty cool bed that starts as a toddler bed and then converts to a full size bed with stages in between.

And of course the biggest change that Reagan will be facing in the coming months is a little sister.

Yep, Baby Girl is due in February. Just in time for Mommy's birthday. And yes, currently we are calling her Baby Girl. We have it down to 2 different names but we just aren't sure. Bad parents huh? Who knew coming up with another girl name would be so tough! Baby Girl is doing well. So far it seems like she is a bit more active then Reagan was though Mom is still the only one that can feel her. She's made this into quite a different pregnancy. Time has flown by and already I can see where other Moms have commented that they feel like their 2nd child is neglected before being born. On one hand we don't have a lot to do, especially having another girl. But, on the other hand we have a lot to do, a list in fact. But we're getting through it slowly. We do already have her bedding as we couldn't pass up the deal:

And per Dad's suggestion she is going to have a pink room!

So we have a lot on our hands but wouldn't life be boring if we didn't?
