Growing Up

A long weekend can make you realize so many things. We ventured out to the mall on Saturday morning and it was dead. We were relieved. We needed to run an errand, go and register at the hospital next door (gulp) and take Reagan to see Santa. Reagan loved Santa and I knew with age we could end up with tears this year. The problem was the little elf girl who wanted us to run up and drop Reagan off on Santa's lap really quick without her seeing him and then run off so she can take the picture. I know my child a little better then that but ok. So she cried. I then went up and sat next to her and turned her around so she could see him and talk to him. After that she was better and we got a somewhat ok pic. It was better then the crying pic we had at first though I almost bought that one instead.

Reagan loves to dance, a lot. She is in love with a show on Noggin called Lazytown. Nothing else can go on during Lazytown. She is like a zombie, that is until the music comes on. Dad made the mistake of trying to change her diaper in the middle of Lazytown. He would have been fine but then the ending song came on that she loves and she escaped a but to do a little naked dance:

We got our tree up on Saturday as well and it has been a world of "No" and "Don't pull that off" but she sure does love it.

We've decided that we hate IKEA. They have strung us about now for 3 months on the bed that we were trying to buy for Reagan. We are constantly told to check back in 2 weeks. Finally this past weekend we were told that they are not in line for the bed to come in stock for another month or two. Finally, a straight answer. We need to return a few things that went with the actual bed but we have found and ordered another bed that should hopefully be here in the next couple of weeks. So hopefully we can actually get moving on this soon!

Other then that we are working on new words and body parts. She can say nose and knows where it is. We're working on eye right now though it involves getting poked. She has known where her belly button is for some time and knows tummy. She is pretty stuck on the word "no". The best so far was to ask if there was a baby in Mommy's tummy and she said "no" and then proceeded to lift up her shirt and show off her tummy. Guess she may think that everyone has a baby in the tummy. So while she has been slow with the words it is starting to pick up now. She is definitely not a baby anymore.
