It's amazing to see the new things that Reagan does each day and then there are some that we are shocked by. Take the past couple of days:
1. Reagan can reach everything on the counter pretty much and I think that we forget about this at times. Dad apparently left the rub mix he made a little too close to the edge. Reagan was holding the tupperware that it was in and when she got caught by Dad she took a large handful and shoved it in her mouth. She was not too happy with the outcome.
2. Reagan likes to hand people things. Sometimes it's something so tiny that I think she is pretending. Think something like a piece of hair. Well she handed something to me in her little pinched fingers and said Eew. When I looked to see what she gave me it was a booger. Gee, thanks. Yes, she likes the word eew and usually uses it correctly.

Mommy's Favorite Birthday Gift
This little bitty one.............
We thought we were doing good yesterday to get her a few pieces of clothes that fit. We decided to go with newborn which shows it is good for 5-8lbs instead of preemie which was under 2lbs. We could still put 2 of her in the newborn size!
And not a birthday gift but this one is loved as well. Wish she would share her never ending energy.

Comparision
I promised Dad that I would find pics of his 2 girls to compare since everyone keeps asking us who Abigail looks like. I think that she and Reagan look pretty similar and definitely have the same nose and perhaps the same mouth. Abigail does however have very very dark hair which is hard to see since it's mostly in the back.
Things are looking up
Today was Day 4 to the doctor. Yesterday we went and her bili levels had stayed the same but she had put on about 1 oz so the doctor was pretty happy and allowed us to stop the lights. We were very grateful for that. Today's visit was even better. Her bili level went down half a point and she gained another 1-2 oz. With that progress we now can stop going to the doctor every day and don't have to go back until next Wednesday. Hooray. Poor Abby's heels are starting to look pretty bad from 4 days of having blood drawn. Now maybe we can start working on getting in to a routine.
On another strange child note it seems that we somehow forgot to mention that Abby was born with a tooth. Yep, you read that right. The pedi at the hospital thought that it may just be a tooth bud but our doctor has confirmed that it is indeed a tooth. Our doctor called a dentist who said that as long as it isn't bothering Abby or mom that it can stay there. We're pretty happy about that as we couldn't really imagine what it was going to be like to have a tooth removed for her. This is the best shot that we have been able to get:

Our last few days...............
Our last few days have been a bit crazy as is to be expected. With Reagan off to the gym with Daddy and Abby sleeping in her tanning bed I thought I would steal a minute to update.
First on a light note. Reagan is a girly girl and loves her bubble baths! Abby on the other hand did not enjoy her first bath so much.
Reagan loves to sit next too, sing too, kiss, etc. her little sister. She unfortunately has had a couple of days with a fever in which she was not allowed to get too close but thankfully we are over that.
Monday was Abby's first visit to the doctor. The news was not so wonderful. She had a pretty high level of jaundice and was down to 6lbs 1oz. Next came a home delivery of what we have called several names including baby tanning bed and baby torture device. Needless to say she doesn't like it very much. We were told to leave her on it as much as possible and just to take her off to feed her. She would not stop screaming so we made the decision to take her off for the night and start back up in the morning. Today we went back to the doctor and have both good and bad news. Her jaundice level went down 2 points which is fantastic but her weight also went down to 5lbs 15oz. She has officially lost 1lb and 13-14% of her body weight. That means we'll be back again tomorrow to the doctors office and we already know we'll be back there again on Thursday checking on those levels and her weight. Luckily if her levels are down again tomorrow I believe we can lose the machine!

Eviction Date has been Set
For those that may not have heard - we have an official induction date of Wednesday, February 11. Yes, everything is fine and no there is no real reason to the induction. Simply last week at the 38 week appointment it was mentioned that at week 39's appt we could talk about an induction so we scheduled it for week 39 instead of waiting. Almost all of the plans have been set to get ready now and we're just about ready. The nursery is even close to being completed! Who knew there would be so much rushing around for #2? So on Wednesday we will be joined by Miss Abigail and become a family of 4. We'll be sure to update all with pictures as soon as we are able and at the least everyone should receive a text message shortly after her arrival.
Sorry for the lack of pictures lately but all they would really be of is a snotty little kiddo. We did get do-nuts this weekend though and Reagan had her first experience with them. She was a natural.

Super Bowl Sunday = Super Sick Sunday
How can all 3 of us be sick? Yep, blame Dad. He started it on Saturday and now everyone has a fever and is coughing. Can't really get an answer but Reagan may have a sore throat like everyone else. A house where the temps range from 99-101/102. Fun times.
