37 Weeks........but who is counting........

So the Drs appt yesterday was pretty uneventful. I'm only 1 cm dilated and she is not even close to being low enough. Sounds so familiar as Reagan was the same way. So who knows, we may be looking at another eviction soon. Knowing the Dr it wasn't even brought up yesterday but you can be sure it will be brought up next week. Looks like we have another stubborn child on our hands. So much for the random contractions last week.

On sister news: they are already bonding. Sounds strange huh? Abigail is quite the fiesty and active one. Reagan never moved around like Abigail does. But, when Reagan lays on or against my tummy Abigail is calm yet I can feel her lean up against Reagan and just stay there. She doesn't do this for anyone else. Go on, say AW, you know you want to.

Reagan news: She's a crazy toddler. Not much else to say.

Reagan checking on Abigail's seat. She thinks it's pretty funny to sit in.

Reagan playing peek a book or maybe hide and seek in the cabinet. She loves getting in and out of there and will sit in there with the door closed. Strange child.

Has anyone seen Killian? He seems to have been replaced with a cat! Seriously, what dog lays on the window sill???

Crazy Weekend

So Reagan woke up from her nap on Thursday with a 101 fever. Fun. Shockingly in almost 20 months of her life this was her first fever. She actually was acting like she felt just fun. Within the next day she wasn't eating or drinking too much so if there was something she wanted then we gave it to her. She doesn't often get juice but but certainly had her fill throughout the weekend. While her fever wouldn't quite break it was down to 99 for a few days. Unfortunately we missed out on dinner with the girls on Friday night and Connor's baptism on Sunday. By Sunday afternoon she was fever free but...........seemed to pass it on to day. Yep. Not only that but Reagan only wanted milk when she woke up from her nap on Sunday. She would scream like crazy when her cup was emptying so we kept filling it. Without realizing it she drank about 5 cups in 2-3 hours. Needless to say, it didn't really stay in there very long. Monday lead to tummy issues and she has been slowly recovering ever since. Dad has also been slowly recovering all week but seems to be better as well. The good news is that while sick throughout the weekend Reagan was really in a fabulous mood.

Reagan knows how to say cheese now. Not sure that we get the effect we want though.

Trying on Daddy's boots.

Enjoying outside a little bit.

Update - 35 weeks and Reagan

35 Weeks - It really could be any day now. Abigail has made the big turn so that concern is out of the way. The ultrasound tech is the same one that I have had for every ultrasound I have ever had. She is wonderful. It seems that Abigail has a full head of hair but after Reagan that isn't a surprise. Right now she is tiny compared to Reagan. They estimate that she is just shy of 6 pounds which could be off 3/4 lb either way. At this point I think that Reagan was already at 7! And then the tech confirmed what I already knew, she is one feisty little girl. She was not too happy about staying still for measurements and likes to move her head around, a lot! I could have told everyone that. She likes to kick the wand of the ultra sound machine but tends to do that at many visits when they are trying to listen to her heartbeat. So Dad doesn't have to worry about re-painting the pink room as she is still a girl. Perhaps we should finish the room though and buy a couple of last minute things!

Reagan - She is growing every day in so many ways that it is amazing. Everyday is something new. She is saying more words and will repeat almost anything you say or at least attempt to. I drew on her magna doodle the other night the letters of the alphabet. We got through L before she got bored and she said each letter after we did. It was shocking. She still doesn't necessarily say a lot of words on her own but is getting better about it. She is able to reach everything it seems and can suddently get onto chairs that she couldn't before. She can walk up and down the stairs unassisting though loves to hold someone's hand while doing it. She is still very loving and hands out hugs and kisses to everyone. She is not terribly shy which may be bad later. She had no problem running around at the baby shower last weekend with a house full of people that she didn't really know and would talk to people, ask them to pick her up, eat food off their plates, etc. She is very helpful and wants to help with everything. She is going to be a wonderful big sister.

A Baby Weekend

And it had nothing to do with ours! Turns out on Tuesday due to a bad circumstance that we needed to host a baby shower on Sunday. So we got our tv loving kiddo off the couch to do some serious and much needed cleaning after Christmas.

Mom made her first ever diaper cake for the new mom. Not too bad.

And Dad finally got to meet Connor who belongs to our dear dear friends Melony and Brian. We know some of you have been waiting to see pics. He's 4 months old now. It's fun to be called Aunt and Uncle!

Reagan was such a help during the shower. She would throw away any trash that Natalie gave her after opening each present and would move the presents to another spot. She did take some time out to take a few pictures:

Yes, that is what she does when she sees the camera. She gave Connor lots of kisses and hugs but would stop any time we pulled out the camera. She even did a good job in touching him. She did have an issue in running around with his pacifier which she thought was hilarious but this is a problem that Mom and Dad expect to have soon enough. This is the best picture we could get of the two of them.

Toddler Bed Update

So the only real problem that we have had is that she looses her pacifier very easily in the bed and can't find it. So far that has been the only problem and she needs it replaced 1-2 times per night. She hasn't run around at night or really even gotten out of bed. She does her running around more at nap time. Yesterday she gave Dad a bit of a hard time. He thought she was asleep as it was quiet for an hour and then suddenly her heard her playing with the door stop. Today's nap with mom..............well, she definitely played a bit when the door was closed. The good news is that she did put herself back in the bed to actually go to sleep.

It's Big Girl Bed Day

We are finally at a point with the new nursery that we can put the crib in which means Reagan can have her big girl bed. After what seemed like an extra long assembly time (turns out it's hard when a toddler is climbing on each part and wants to help hammer and screw) it was finally done.

And Reagan is quick to point out where her crib has moved (yep, it's pink!):

The first nap was/is .....interesting. We could hear her running around for a bit and when it finally ended and we thought enough time had passed dad took a peek and found diapers all over the room and one sleeping child on the floor. I guess we'll be doing a lot moving in the coming future. As the nursery is getting finished up and we can move the rest of the furniture we'll update with pictures.
