January is a little slow around here, which we like! So here is a brief recap:
Reagan tried out her bike. It's a little big for her so we're working on it. We rode to and from the mailbox. When Dad came out to help we had a little issue though. Let's just say I am not a bike person and when I attempted to put her seat down something was wrong and it ended up pinching her.
Even though we were able to end with a smile she has not be willing to get back on again. She did show some interest last weekend though it rained of course.
We also had the chance to check out the wii games that Reagan got for Christmas. She got an Elmo alphabet game and a Cookie Monster counting game. These came in handy one cold and rainy weekend when everyone was sick. It was cute and she had fun.
This last weekend of the month we were invited to 3 birthday parties! We were able to make it to two on Saturday. First we went to A Bunch of Fun to celebrate Connor's 2nd birthday. He is one of Abby's classmates and coincidentally his sister is in Reagan's class. I was excited to go because this is the place that we are having Abby's birthday party at and we had never been. Boy did I make a great choice because this place was wonderful and is perfect for her. There is so much to do and none of it is overwhelming.
Sadly I didn't get a picture but as soon as we got there Abby ran right up to Connor and gave him a hug and then they were holding hands. So cute!
After a quick nap at home we headed over to Pump It Up for Truitt's 4th birthday! As usual we walk into the door of that place and Reagan is gone. In the first room Abby was quite clingy and I thought that she was going to spend the party like this:
But Dad took her down the slide once and it was all over from there. While she's not a fan of the actually bouncing the slide she loved. I was cracking up at people making comments when we started throwing her down on her own. She's so little that at the end of the slide she would end up rolling a few times to come to a stop. Also because of her size I'm sure people thought we were crazy for throwing her down. Perhaps but look at that face at the bottom!
And for all that don't know Dad has injured his knee. It isn't anything serious but does involve a little physical therapy and some stretching exercises that he has to do on his own. And NO running! The girls were happy to help with the stretching tonight:
Don't fret - February already promises to have full Saturdays so there should be more pictures. Plus a certain little someone is turning 2.............
