Oilman 2013

Back in the first weekend of November Dad has his last race of the year and we decided to join him. It was our first adventure with all 5 of us in a hotel room. Adventure is a nice way to put it as the night was pretty rough. we headed down early so Dad could host a brunch for one of his clients and then we were able to check into our hotel. We hung out a bit and headed to an early dinner so we could get to bed early.

 Watching a movie before bed.

 Ham

What the table in your room looks like when you travel with kids+triathlete.

Oh those eyes.

After a rough night of sleep, for those that got any, we woke up early. It was confusing because Dad was still in the room and he usually leaves very early but turns out it was really really really cold outside so he hung out with us for awhile. After he left I packed up the girls and breakfast and we walked down to the swim start.

A pic with the girls as they all shivered.
 There he is!

After he came in we headed back to the hotel room. This time we opted for a cottage which was neat because it was right on the run course. I was able to put Quinn down for a nap inside while the girls and I sat outside(thankfully the sun at come up!) and got to work.

 And ate muffins.

When it appeared we were getting close to time for Dad to come in on his bike we headed over to transition to wait for him.

 She's ridiculous.

 Dad!

We raced from our spot back to the cottage and while we missed him passing the cottage we did get to see him pass us.

We got back to the cottage and set ourselves up outside to cheer which we did for an hour or so. The girls were awesome and cheered for everyone. And man when someone would say something back to them they would cheer even louder.

They were excited to see Dad again.

 Especially when he waved.

Quinn hung out in the back of the car playing.

The girls were also super excited when Dad's friend Toby ran by and said hi to us.
They have a lot of love for Toby.

Dad to the finish!

And with that the season ends and we get Dad back on the weekends a bit more for a couple of months! ;-)
